Ugh.

I don't think I've ever been so consistently ill-feeling ever before. Working with kids (who don't cover their mouth when they cough and sneeze) is taking a toll on my health. I can't wait to feel healthy again!

Also, one of the kids kicked me in the shin after I tried to get him to write in complete sentences. He simply put, "It is," in front of his previous answers, and when I told him that he can't just put, "It is," before everything because sometimes it doesn't work (he's done this before,) he got all bratty on me. By the fourth grade, complete sentences should come so easily to students, but this kid is so lazy. He also puts down his other classmates who are doing 20x better than him. Any chance he gets, he makes fun of something they can't do, or a word they say wrong. It's so rude!

What happened to manners? What happened to saying, "Thank you," and listening to your elders?

  1. he kicked you in the shin? that's ballsy of him. i'm guessing this tutoring place doesn't have a punishment system in place either -_-

and AMEN to your last paragraph!

  2. Nope... no punishment system other than, "I'm telling the supervisor to tell your parents." This kid's parents spoil and baby him so much that nothing will be done about him. Thank goodness I'm done in 2 more sessions!!! Hopefully he doesn't realize too late in life that his actions will eventually have consequences.
